Mitch is an Illinois District 17 motocross rider in the 85CC class. He also rides the super mini class. He started riding in 2002 on a Kawasaki and has now switched to an 85cc KTM.
Mitch lives in Davis, Illinois with his family. He was born May 18, 1992. He got his first bike at age 10 which was a KDX80. Within a month he was doing all the jumps at his local practice track. Two months later in October of 2002, Mitch started racing in district 17 competition. His parents upgraded him to a new 2003 KX85 for the 2003 season. Since then, Mitch has been working his way up through the 85cc junior class. He now rides a 2004 KTM 85.
Mitch is currently in first place for 2004 district racing in the 85 junior class. He is also in first place at LTM and South Fork tracks in the 85 junior class and mini 1 class track points. Mitch took third place at the 2004 Mid Season championship and he also is first in points in the Casey Illini Super Series in the 85 junior class and mini 1 class. In 2003, Mitch placed 14th overall in the 85 junior class.
Other sports that Mitch participates in include swimming, mountain biking, knee boarding and tubing. He is also an honor roll student and currently in sixth grade.
In April of 2005, Mitch switched his brand of bike to Suzuki. He is riding the 85 CC senior class for 2005 as well as attempting to get use to a 125 CC bike. Mitch completed the 2005 season placing third overall in the 85cc senior class in district 17 racing.
To start off 2006, Mitch has switched over to the 125B class and 14-24 class. He is proud to be riding a brand new 2006 Yamaha YZ125. He has been practicing at Waterman indoor track and Brodhead.
